Hard to lose (a poem)

Even the dog’s
Eyes make me sad
For living
is being with life which
looks at you
through lashes
or the other kind too.  Yes,
even the sores
are hard to lose.

Even my dad’s
Eyes make me sad
For living
is being with life which
looks at me
through glasses
or the other kind too.  Yes,
even the drink
is hard to lose.

Even my brother’s
Eyes made me sad
For living
is being with life which
looks at me
through memories.  Yes.
The living are hard to lose.

  1. You may be a CEO. You are a mother, a daughter and a niece. However, you truly have a gift in expression…the poem — want to do a critique of it — all positive, I assure you. So you have made me cry 2 times tonight… I need to cry sometimes because I get tired of being the one to hold things together…of curse, my mascara will be streaming down my face because I have not taken it off for the night — maybe it will streak so I look like a member of KISS!
